Virtual Lounge

Your lounge, with confidence

Privacy Policy

Clear information about your profile, conversations and data — and the choices available to you.

Last updated: 5 October 2026

About this policy

This policy applies to Virtual Lounge at virtuallounge.eu, an adults-only social video conversation platform. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of Virtual Lounge, responsible for deciding how personal information is used for the service.

For questions about this policy or your personal information, contact support@virtuallounge.eu. You can read this policy and contact support without creating a profile.

Information we process

  • Account and profile information: account identifiers, display name, profile text, languages, interests, gender and matching preferences where supplied, and availability status. Email and other contact information may be processed when you supply it during onboarding or contact support. Some onboarding details are held temporarily in your browser rather than saved to your shared profile.
  • Age and eligibility: your 18+ confirmation and age information. A date of birth entered during onboarding is used to calculate age; the public profile shows age, not the full date of birth. An age confirmation does not mean that every user's identity has been independently verified.
  • Profile photos: photo selection, crop/zoom and local lighting adjustments are prepared in your browser. When you confirm a portrait and create or update your shared profile, the confirmed portrait is uploaded for use as your profile image. This profile update uploads the confirmed version, not the raw source photo or unconfirmed edits. The portrait is stored with restricted access; other users are given access to your current published profile image.
  • Location fields: the country and city you supply, and any optional current location you choose to display. These profile fields do not require continuous GPS tracking.
  • Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device information, session identifiers, connection information, timestamps and error or security logs needed to deliver and protect the service.
  • Interactions and reports: virtual-drink invitations, participants and timing of conversations, extension requests, completion or cancellation information, and the content of support messages or reports you or others send about an incident.
  • Coins and transactions: balances, Coins used or returned, and, when real-money purchases are available, payment references, amounts, currency, status, receipts and refund or dispute information supplied by payment providers.

Profile visibility and live video

Profile information you intentionally publish for discovery may be visible to other Virtual Lounge users. This includes your display name, age, confirmed profile portrait, city, country, languages, interests, profile text and, where applicable, availability or presence status. Optional current-location fields follow your display choice. Consider what you want to share before publishing a photo or profile.

Your full date of birth, email, internal timestamps and technical metadata are not part of this shared public profile. Some onboarding information remains local or private and is not published for discovery.

When you join a video conversation, your microphone and camera media are transmitted to the other participant through our video service provider, Daily. Connection and participant information is used to establish the call, verify participation and manage its time limit.

Virtual Lounge's current video integration does not enable call recording or transcription. We cannot control whether another participant independently captures what they see or hear. Do not share information you would be uncomfortable disclosing to that person.

Visitor analytics

We use Lovable visitor analytics for aggregate service-usage measurement, to understand how the website is used. Reports cover visits, page views, visit duration, bounce rate, traffic sources, pages viewed, device types and an approximate country signal inferred from the browser's time zone.

According to Lovable's project analytics documentation, each visit represents a browsing session, not a unique person. Visits are not associated with your Virtual Lounge account when you sign in, and the analytics does not create visitor profiles spanning separate visits.

Where consent is legally required for a particular non-essential tracking technology, that technology must be explained and the required choice provided.

Why we use information

  • Providing the service — performance of a contract: creating and displaying profiles, helping users discover one another, delivering invitations and video conversations, managing Coins and extensions, and answering requests needed to provide the service.
  • Safety and service reliability — legitimate interests: detecting fraud and misuse, protecting accounts, investigating reports, troubleshooting errors and handling disputes. We consider the impact on your rights and use information proportionately for these purposes.
  • Legal obligations: meeting applicable accounting, tax, consumer-protection and data-protection duties, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
  • Consent, where required: optional processing that requires consent will be explained when it is offered. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Device permission to use a camera or microphone can also be changed in your browser settings.

Payments and card information

When paid purchases are enabled, payments are processed by third-party payment providers, such as Stripe where offered. The provider used for a transaction is identified at checkout and handles payment details under its own privacy information and applicable responsibilities.

Full payment-card details should be entered only into the payment provider's payment interface. Virtual Lounge is not intended to receive or store full card numbers or card security codes through that process. We may receive transaction references, payment status and limited payment information needed for receipts, support, fraud prevention or refunds.

Demo Coins and demonstration payment screens do not represent a real card charge. Never send full card details, security codes or passwords to support.

Who may receive information

Information is shared with the people and providers needed for the purposes described here:

  • Other users receive the profile information you publish; your conversation partner receives the live media and information you choose to share.
  • Supabase supports account sessions, database and profile-photo storage; Daily provides live video infrastructure.
  • Hosting, site-delivery, technical-support and diagnostic providers process information necessary to deliver and maintain the website. The site uses Lovable and loads fonts from Google Fonts, which can receive technical request information when your browser requests those resources.
  • Payment providers process transactions where paid purchasing is available. People handling support, moderation, accounting or legal matters may access the information needed for those tasks.
  • Authorities or other recipients may receive information where required by law or necessary and lawful to protect rights, investigate fraud or address a safety incident.

Providers may act on our instructions or, for some activities such as payment compliance, under their own legal responsibilities. Contact us if you need more information about recipients relevant to your use of the service.

International transfers

Some providers and their support teams may process information outside the European Economic Area. The location can depend on the service, infrastructure and provider arrangement involved.

Transfers subject to the GDPR require an appropriate legal basis and safeguards. Depending on the destination and provider, these may include a European Commission adequacy decision or approved standard contractual clauses with any necessary additional measures. You can ask support@virtuallounge.eu about the destinations and safeguards that apply to your information and how to obtain relevant details.

Browser storage and retention

The website uses browser storage to remember an account session, age confirmation, preferences and local service state. Clearing that storage may sign you out or remove locally held information. Hosting and other service providers may also use technologies necessary to deliver their services; any optional tracking that requires consent must be explained and offered with the required choice.

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it is processed. Relevant factors include whether your account or a transaction is active, whether support or a report remains unresolved, applicable record-keeping duties, security needs and legal claims. Different types of information may therefore be kept for different lengths of time.

You can request deletion. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal duties or resolve a dispute, and backups may follow their own deletion cycle. We will explain relevant limits when responding to a request.

Your rights and choices

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you can ask to:

  • Access your personal information and receive a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete information or restrict how it is used.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Receive information you provided in a portable format where the right to portability applies.
  • Withdraw consent for processing based on consent.

Send requests to support@virtuallounge.eu. We may ask for proportionate information to locate your account and verify that the request is yours. Do not send passwords or unnecessary identity documents. We respond within the periods required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation.

You can complain to the competent data-protection authority, including in the country where you live or work or where you believe an infringement occurred. In Latvia, this is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).

Under-18s and policy updates

Virtual Lounge is for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe an under-18 has provided information or is using the service, contact support so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. Our Terms of Service explain the rules for using Virtual Lounge, and the Support page explains how to contact us.
